There was a period in my life where I was dangerously shy, lacked self-confidence, and didn&#8217;t enjoy much in my life. I felt like there was nothing for me to look forward to. Swing dancing changed all that. Finally, I had a reason to smile at the end of my day. Partner dancing changed my life. And no matter at what stage you are in life, partner dancing can enhance your life in ways you never thought possible, just as it did with mine. I learned to be myself, express myself in a more confident manner through my movements, and make so many meaningful friendships along the way. Dance truly isn&#8217;t about the steps (although it&#8217;s a lot more fun when you do know the steps!), it&#8217;s about the experience, the love, and the pure and utter joy it brings you. The experiences I&#8217;ve had meeting people from all around the world and sharing that mutual happiness, love, and playfulness through the flow of a dance is a type of connection that I&#8217;d never thought I&#8217;d have the chance to experience.
